REPLAY: Four Seasons in One Flight - A GA Safety Workshop

Yesterday, 29 April 2026, I was a lead contributor and presenter at a Four Seasons in One Flight webinar hosted by Astral Aviation Consulting*. Read original announcement here.

The webinar attracted more than 400 participants from the general aviation (GA) and meteorological communities in the UK and beyond for a focused, practical discussion on how rapidly changing weather, especially convection, affects flying, and how pilots can make better, more confident decisions - both pre-flight and in the cockpit - through the use of a suite of aeronautical meteorological products and services.

Factual correction: During the webinar erroneous reference was made to the wind direction in METAR being reported in degrees magnetic. Reference should, instead, have been made to wind direction in METAR being reported in degrees true.
